RE: IMPROVEMENTS IN 2008-09 PLAN YEAR
I am
very pleased to announce that India Network Health Plan added another year of
extraordinary success and service to the community. Many families benefited
from the program this year and quite few visitors availed medical evacuations
and the emergency care offered through the pre-existing condition rider program.
AIG Assist staff did a tremendous job in working with families in distress and organizing
flights, co-ordination of family member travel, or working with funeral homes,
whatever the need may be.
We
are able to keep the same premiums for the 2008-09 plan year, starting from
June 1, 2008; and we have
increased the
amount available for pre-existing problems from a maximum of $15,000 in the current
plan year to $20,000 in 2008-09. This required a slight increase in rider
premiums but well worth the additional amount. There are some agents on the internet world
that tried very hard to portray our plan offering pre-existing coverage as
impossible feature. But they realized today that they have to follow
We
need your support and greater community participation to offer you many unimaginable
improvements in health insurance coverage to our elderly that is envy of local
citizens. Spreading our community dollars around thousand one
insurance companies does
not help anyone. Please take a moment to reflect what India Network has done to
Indian Community in the United States in the last two decades – that is
something unique and not done by any other community or social organization so
far. Let us put our dollars where we can
make an impact. Law of Large numbers allow us to bring risky features but we
need more numbers to add better coverage for our 70 plus visitors. If you like
the program, tell to friends, friends of friends, and many others. If you don’t
like the program for any reason, tell us and we will work hard to improve.
